Meet the Team
Suzanne Esposito, LCSW
Co-Founder & Clinical DirectorSome of the people I see are six. Some are forty-six. What they usually have in common is that they're the ones nobody worries about: capable, responsible, holding it together, and quietly struggling underneath.
Before founding Terra, I spent 15 years in inpatient and partial hospital psychiatric care, first as a therapist and then leading programs for children, adolescents and adults. That work taught me how to stay steady in hard moments, and how much good care depends on both clinical depth and real connection.
Today I see children through play-based therapy, preteens and teens navigating anxiety and pressure, and adults, especially women and moms, working through anxiety, depression and overwhelm. I'm trained in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, and I'm a parent myself.
I hold an MSW from Fordham University and am licensed in New York and Connecticut. I see clients in person in New Canaan, CT and Chappaqua, NY, and virtually across both states.
Samantha Rathe, LMSW
Co-FounderMost people who come to me can already explain exactly why they're anxious. They've thought it through a hundred times. They just can't make it stop.
That's because stress and anxiety don't only live in our thoughts; they live in the body. My approach is bottom-up: we slow down, notice what's happening physically, and help your system feel safe enough to settle, so real change can follow.
I see teens, especially the ones who don't want to be there, and parents whose teen is refusing support. I also see adults and couples untangling the anxiety, stress and relationship strain that build up when life doesn't slow down.
My background is in inpatient and partial hospital psychiatric care, so I'm steady with whatever someone brings in. I hold an MSW from NYU and see clients in person in Chappaqua, NY and virtually across New York.
